Espresso maker that turns the kitchen into a cafe

Questions and answers

Is the Mr. Coffee Prima Latte Luxe worth it?

For the money, yes, if you want espresso and milk frothing in one machine. It is not a prosumer machine, but at $127.48 at ShopSimon as of November 6, 2026 it costs less than most espresso makers plus a separate frother.

Does it use pods or ground coffee?

Both. It takes ground coffee in the portafilter and ESE-style pods, so you are not locked into one format.

Do I need a grinder?

No grinder is included. You can use pre-ground espresso coffee or ESE pods, or buy a burr grinder separately for fresher shots.

How does it compare with the regular Prima Latte?

The Luxe is the higher trim of the Prima Latte line, with a gray finish and the same brew-and-froth approach. Check the current price gap before choosing; the core latte workflow is similar.

When is the price lowest?

Espresso makers like this tend to dip during holiday sales and back-to-school promotions. The current $127.48 at ShopSimon as of November 6, 2026 is already near the low end of its recent range.
