About the Ecotric Lark Electric City Bike for Women

The Ecotric Lark is a women's city e-bike with a step-thru aluminum frame, 26-inch tires and a 36V 10Ah battery. It pairs a 7-speed derailleur drivetrain with pedal assist and an on-demand throttle, and stops on mechanical disc brakes. At 58 lb with the battery it is on the heavy side for carrying upstairs. The best new price is $585 at Ecotric as of November 8, 2026, and five stores list it new.

Cons
  • 58 lb with the battery is hard to lift onto racks or up stairs
  • 36V 10Ah battery is small; expect modest range, not long tours
  • Mechanical disc brakes need more hand effort and adjustment than hydraulic
  • No suspension fork, so potholes come through the frame
  • Step-thru frames flex more than diamond frames under heavy loads

What reviewers say

  • 4.8 / 520 ratings

Rated 4.8 out of 5 from 20 ratings, the Lark's owners are a small but happy group. They like the easy step-thru frame and the throttle for city errands. The main gripes are weight and the short range from the small battery.

Questions and answers

Is the Ecotric Lark good for a beginner?
Yes. The step-thru frame, pedal assist and throttle make it easy to start and stop in city traffic. The 7-speed drivetrain covers mild hills without much effort.
How far can it go on a charge?
The 36V 10Ah battery is small, so plan on short city trips rather than long rides. Range depends on how much you use the throttle and how hilly the route is.
Can I carry it upstairs?
It weighs 58 lb with the battery, which is heavy for most people to carry up stairs. Removing the battery first makes it somewhat easier.
Does it come with a throttle and pedal assist?
Yes. It has both pedal assist and an on-demand throttle, so you can pedal with help or ride on the motor alone.
Is $585 a good price for it?
That is the best new price among five stores as of November 8, 2026, and it is low for a name-brand city e-bike. Check the price history to see whether it has been lower.
What size rider does it fit?
It is a women's step-thru city bike with 26-inch wheels, built for adult riders. Check the frame size and standover height against your inseam before ordering.
