For fast day hikes on maintained trails in wet conditions, yes. It gives you GORE-TEX waterproofing and a supportive mid cut at a lighter weight than Lowa's leather boots. If you carry heavy packs or scramble on rock, a stiffer boot is a better match.

How does it compare with Lowa's Renegade GTX Mid?
