Is the American Flyer Lyon set worth it?

At $106.79 for four pieces it is inexpensive per bag. Expect basic hardware and soft-sided protection rather than premium durability.

What is included in the 4-piece set?

The set includes a 28-inch rolling upright, a 21-inch carry-on upright, a doctor's bag and a fourth companion piece. Check the listing for the exact fourth item.

Are the uprights expandable?

Yes. Both rolling uprights expand by 2 inches, which adds room for souvenirs or bulky clothing.

Does the carry-on meet airline size limits?

The 21-inch upright is sized as a carry-on, but dimensions vary by airline. Measure it against your carrier's limit before relying on it as a cabin bag.

When is the best time to buy this set?

Luggage discounts cluster around Black Friday, back-to-school and spring sales. The current $106.79 is already near the low end of its recent range.
