Gaming laptop with an eGPU dock — desktop power, portable body

Questions and answers

Is the RX 7600M XT dock worth it over a laptop with a built-in GPU?

The dock gives you RX 7600M XT performance at a desk while keeping the laptop light for travel. If you mostly game in one place, a laptop with a built-in discrete GPU is simpler and avoids dock cables.

Can I game on it without the dock?

Yes, but only on the integrated Radeon 780M. That handles older and lighter titles at 1080p; demanding games need the dock.

What is in the box?

The listing covers the laptop, its eGPU dock with the RX 7600M XT, and the usual power and documentation. Check with Best Buy for the exact accessory list before ordering.

Is 16GB of RAM enough?

For gaming and everyday use, yes. Heavy video editing or many browser tabs plus a game may push past it, and DDR5 SO-DIMMs are user-replaceable on most laptops.

Does it have a high refresh rate screen?

The listing gives a 1080p LCD with no refresh rate stated. Assume 60Hz unless the retailer confirms otherwise.

When is it cheapest?

The only new price listed is $1,299 at Best Buy as of November 4, 2026. Laptop prices usually dip around Black Friday and back-to-school sales.
