Neoprene dumbbells that are kind to your floor

Questions and answers

Is 12 lb enough for a dumbbell set?

It suits light work like arm raises, walking workouts and rehab. Most lifters will outgrow 12 lb quickly for presses, rows and squats.

Does the neoprene coating protect floors?

Yes. The rubber coating softens contact, so the dumbbells are safer on wood and tile than bare metal. Dropping them hard can still mark floors.

Are these sold as a pair?

The set is listed as 12 lb total. Check the listing to confirm whether that is two 6 lb dumbbells or one 12 lb dumbbell before buying.

How does the price compare with other stores?

At $44.79 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is the lowest new price of the two stores listing it. Compare per-pound cost with vinyl or cast-iron sets before deciding.

Do the dumbbells have metal plates inside?

Yes. The listing specifies metal plates under the rubber coating, which keeps them more compact than solid neoprene.
