Is this rug soft enough for a living room?

It is a low 0.2-inch non-woven rug, so it feels flat rather than plush. It suits areas where easy cleaning matters more than cushioning; add a pad if you want more softness.

Does it really stay in place?

The anti-slip backing is designed to grip hard floors and reduce sliding. On very smooth or heavily waxed floors, a separate rug pad adds security.

What sizes are available?

Two sizes: about 4'8" x 6'7" and 5'4" x 7'7". Measure your space first, since neither is a large 8x10.

Will it shed or fade?

The pile is non-shedding, and the maker lists fade and wear resistance. Keep it out of direct, prolonged sun to help the pattern last.

Vacuum regularly and spot clean with a mild detergent. The low pile and non-woven fabric are made for simple maintenance.

Is it good for a dining room?

Yes, the low pile lets chairs slide and is easy to wipe up after spills. It is thin, so use felt pads under heavy furniture legs.
