Is the LG gram Max 17 good for gaming?

No. It uses Intel integrated graphics and a 60Hz panel, so it handles casual and older titles only. For modern games, look at a laptop with a dedicated GPU.

How heavy is a 17-inch laptop this thin?

LG lists it at 3.4 lb and 0.57 in thick, which is lighter than most 15-inch laptops. That is the main reason to pick it over a standard 17-inch model.

Does the 27-hour battery claim hold up?

Expect well under that in real use. Most owners get a full workday of mixed browsing and office apps, which is still strong for a 17-inch screen.

Is 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD enough?

Yes for office work, browsing and photo editing. The RAM is generous for years of use; the 1 TB drive fills quickly if you store large video files.

Does it have a touchscreen and backlit keyboard?

Yes. The 2560 x 1600 display is touch-enabled and the keyboard is backlit, both useful for dim rooms and presentations.

When is the best time to buy it?

LG gram models see the deepest discounts during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Check the price history before buying, since list prices vary widely by configuration.
