Is $179.19 a good price for the Polaris arc lamp?

It is the lowest new price among the 6 stores listed as of November 7, 2026. Arc lamps of this size from Safavieh often list higher, so it is a fair buy at this figure.

What bulb does it take?

One E26 screw-base bulb, LED or CFL, up to 13W. A 13W LED gives roughly 830 lumens.

How tall is it, and how far does it reach?

It stands 84 inches tall and the arc spans 69.5 inches, so measure ceiling height and the space beside your sofa before buying.

Does it have a dimmer?

No. It has a foot-operated on/off switch only, so dimming depends on the bulb you fit.

Can it be used outdoors?

No. It is an indoor, corded lamp rated for 120V household outlets.

How much assembly is required?

The base, pole, arc and shade go together at home. Plan for two people because of the 40.7 lb weight.
