About the Wefone WF20 Drone with Camera for Kids 1080p FPV

The Wefone WF20 is a foldable quadcopter aimed at kids and first-time pilots, with a 1080p camera on a 90-degree adjustable mount and 5G WiFi FPV streaming to a phone. It leans on beginner aids: headless mode, one-key takeoff and landing, optical flow positioning for steadier hover, three speed settings and 360-degree flips. Two rechargeable batteries are included for up to 40 minutes of total flight time, plus a carrying case. Its only recorded price is $44.85 at Walmart as of October 30, 2026, so there is no lower recent price to wait for.

Brushless motors, unusual at this price
Cons
  • Small, light drone that struggles in any real wind
  • FPV over 5G WiFi adds lag and shortens range
  • No GPS, so no return-to-home or position hold outdoors
  • Camera is basic; footage is phone-streamed, not gimbal-stabilized
  • Few ratings so far, so reliability is hard to judge

What reviewers say

Reception is limited: 4.2 out of 5 from 17 ratings on Walmart. Buyers generally treat it as an inexpensive starter drone for kids rather than a camera tool.

Pros
  • Easy for beginners and kids to get flying
  • Bundled second battery and case add value
  • Flips and headless mode are fun for new pilots
Cons
  • Video quality and WiFi lag fall short of what the 1080p label suggests
  • Wind sensitivity limits outdoor use

Questions and answers

Is the Wefone WF20 worth it for a kid's first drone?
Yes, if the goal is learning the controls cheaply. Headless mode, one-key takeoff and emergency stop make crashes less likely, and the price is low enough that losing it stings less.
How long can it fly on the included batteries?
Wefone claims up to 40 minutes total across the two batteries, so roughly 20 minutes each. Real flights are usually shorter, especially with the camera streaming.
Does it need a phone to record video?
Yes. The camera streams over 5G WiFi to a phone app, which handles the FPV view and capture. There is no onboard SD card recording listed.
Can it hold its position outdoors?
Only with optical flow positioning, which works at low altitude over textured ground. There is no GPS, so it drifts in wind and has no return-to-home.
What comes in the box?
The drone, two rechargeable batteries, the camera, a controller and a portable carrying case.
Is $44.85 a good price?
It is the only price recorded since October 30, 2026, at $44.85 from Walmart, so there is no cheaper recent price to wait for. For a brushless, two-battery camera drone it is a low entry point.
