Is the Skyway Chesapeake 4.0 a carry-on or checked bag?

It is a checked bag, sized for the luggage hold rather than the overhead bin. Check your airline's checked-bag limits before flying.

Yes. A zippered expansion panel adds packing room, useful for souvenirs on the return trip. Expanded, it may exceed some airline size limits.

How much does it weigh?

9.5 lb empty. That leaves most of a typical 50 lb checked allowance for your belongings.

Is $71.99 a good price?

Yes. At $71.99 at JCPenney as of November 5, 2026, it is well below the $100-plus this bag often lists at, so it is a strong buy at that price.

Does it have a warranty?

Skyway typically backs its hardside luggage with a limited warranty; confirm the terms with the retailer before buying.
