Is the Fire HD 10 worth it?

Yes if you mainly stream, read and browse inside Amazon's ecosystem. If you need Google apps or heavy multitasking, a full Android tablet is a better fit.

Does it run Android apps from Google Play?

No. It runs Fire OS, which uses the Amazon Appstore. You can sideload some Android apps, but Google Play is not included.

How much storage do I need?

32 GB is enough for streaming, since video is downloaded on demand. Choose 64 GB or add a microSD card if you keep many downloads offline.

How long does the battery last?

Amazon rates it at up to 12 hours of mixed use. Expect less with the screen at full brightness or during long video calls.

What comes in the box?

The tablet, a USB-C cable and a battery charger. A microSD card and case are sold separately.

Fire tablets usually drop around Prime Day, Black Friday and Amazon device sales. The current best new price is $99.99 at eBay as of November 5, 2026.
