Our take on the 10k Yellow Gold Adjustable Box Link Chain Necklace

A 10K yellow gold box chain necklace, 0.7 mm thick and 22 inches long, with an adjustable slider so it can be worn shorter or longer. The solid gold is stamped 10k and won't tarnish or change color. It works as a pendant chain or on its own. At $431 at Jewelry Affairs as of November 5, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is this chain solid gold or plated?
It is solid 10K yellow gold, stamped 10k. It is not gold plated, so it won't tarnish or change color.
Can I wear a pendant on it?
Yes. The box links suit pendants, and the adjustable length lets you set the drop. Keep pendants light, since the chain is 0.7 mm thick.
How long is it and can I shorten it?
It is 22 inches at full length and adjusts shorter with the slider. That covers choker to mid-chest wear on most people.
Is 10K gold good enough for everyday wear?
10K is harder and more scratch-resistant than 14K or 18K, which suits daily wear. It has less gold content and a paler yellow color.
Is $431 a fair price?
Only one store lists it new at $431 as of November 5, 2026, so there is no competing price to check. Compare it against other 22-inch 10K box chains by weight before buying.
What comes in the box?
The necklace with its lobster clasp. Check the listing for a gift box or pouch if you plan to give it.
Where is the 10k Yellow Gold Adjustable Box Link Chain Necklace cheapest?
