Will this chain fit my RYOBI chainsaw?

It fits the RYOBI 18V HP Cordless Chainsaw (P2507) with a 12-inch bar. Check your bar length and model before buying. It will not fit larger RYOBI saws or other brands.

What file do I need to sharpen it?

Use a 5/32-inch round file. Match the original file angle and keep the depth gauges flat. A sharp chain cuts faster and is safer.

Is this a low-kickback chain?

Yes. The chain is built with a low-kickback design, which reduces the chance of the saw kicking back. It still requires safe handling and proper technique.

How is this different from the RY12C1?

The RY12C1 is the older part number for the same 12-inch RYOBI chain. The RY12C11 is the current listing with 64 drive links. Either works on the P2507.

When is the best time to buy?

Chains are consumables, so prices stay fairly steady. At $14.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is already near the low end. Buying a spare avoids downtime when the chain dulls.
