This is a prehung exterior Dutch door in knotty alder, 32 inches wide and 80 inches tall, with four tempered glass lites in the top leaf and raised paneling below. The top leaf opens independently of the latched bottom leaf, which is the point of a Dutch door: air and light without letting a dog or a toddler through. It ships prehung on a matching alder jamb with hinges, latch, lock set and weatherstripping, and is pre-bored for a lockset and deadbolt. The best new price is $2,018.75 at The Home Depot as of November 8, 2026, the only new price listed.

There's a spring morning when you want air moving through the house but need to keep the dog and toddler on their side of the doorway. A Dutch door settles it: swing the top leaf open for the breeze, slide the bronze bolt, and the bottom stays shut and latched. This Farmhouse Knotty Alder 4-Lite Dutch Prehung Front Door splits that face across solid alder, four clear tempered lites above raised paneling. Up close, the dark knots and open grain of knotty alder run different on every door. Behind the surface, engineered alder stiles and rails are doweled at each joint, which keeps the door closing square after a humid August gives way to a dry winter. It hangs on a matching knotty alder jamb at a 4-9/16 in. depth, so the frame wears the same wood as the door rather than painted pine. It comes pre-bored for a lockset and deadbolt and sealed with fitted weatherstripping over an adjustable bronze threshold. It's ready for a Ring, Yale, Nest, or Wyze setup at the entry, and you can order it in a hand-applied (insert stain color) finish or unfinished and stain-ready. A standard entry door only gives you shut or wide open; this one lets you crack the top for air with the bottom still bolted, in hardwood you feel on the first swing.
