Our take on the 70.8 Inch Large Computer Desk Modern Table for 2 People

This is a 70.8-inch-wide double computer desk with a 31.4-inch-deep wood top in black, sized so two people can sit side by side with monitors, keyboards and a laptop each. The extra depth is the selling point: most desks stop around 24 inches, so a 31.4-inch top leaves room for a monitor arm, speakers and papers behind the keyboard. It is a modern, open-frame style table aimed at shared home offices and study rooms rather than a single compact workstation. No current price was provided for this listing, so compare store prices before buying.

Questions and answers

Is 31.4 inches deep enough for two monitors?
Yes. At 31.4 inches deep you can push two monitors back and still keep the keyboard near the front edge. It also leaves room for a monitor arm or speakers behind the screens.
Can two adults actually work side by side on it?
Yes. At 70.8 inches wide, each person gets roughly 35 inches of desk, which fits a monitor, keyboard and mouse. It is tighter than two separate desks if either person uses a full tower PC and dual monitors.
How much space do I need for it?
Plan for at least 71 inches of wall width plus a little clearance on each end, and about 32 inches of depth. Leave room behind the desk for chair movement and cables.
Does it come with cable management or drawers?
No. This is a plain table with an open frame, so plan on cable clips, a tray or a floor cable sleeve. Storage would need to be separate.
Is it hard to assemble?
Expect a flat-pack build with a frame, legs and a top that may come in sections. Two people make it much easier because of the size and weight.
When is the best time to buy it?
Desks like this usually drop during back-to-school sales in late summer and during Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Compare prices across stores before buying, since listings for the same desk vary widely.
