Is $999 a good price for this generator?

It is the lowest of the 8 new prices tracked as of November 5, 2026, with Best Buy at $999. Comparable 9,500-watt dual-fuel inverter units often sell for more, so this is a strong price if you need this size.

How long will it run on a full tank?

At full load it uses about 1.25 gallons per hour, so the 6.6-gallon tank gives roughly 5 hours. Lighter loads stretch runtime considerably.

Can it power my house during an outage?

Yes, with a transfer switch. It supports automatic start when connected to one, and 9,500 running watts covers essentials like a furnace, refrigerator, lights and a well pump.

Does it run on propane?

Yes, it is dual fuel. Propane peak output is listed at 9,500 watts, lower than the 12,500-watt gasoline peak, and you supply your own tank.

The rated noise level is 90 dB at 6 feet, which is loud enough to draw complaints in close neighborhoods. Plan placement away from bedrooms and property lines.

What comes in the box?

Expect the generator, a wheel kit and handle for moving it, and the usual manuals. A propane hose and transfer switch are typically not included, so confirm before buying.
