The A.R.T. Furniture Summer Creek Shoals is an upholstered, tufted sleigh bed in a rustic oak finish, sized for a queen or king mattress depending on the configuration. The best new price is $1,817.00 at Emma Mason as of November 7, 2026, with two stores listing it new. Questions and answers

Does this bed need a box spring?
Yes. A.R.T. specifies a box spring for the Summer Creek Shoals, so budget for one and check your mattress height.
What mattress size does it fit?
The bed is listed with a length of 80 to 90 inches, which covers queen and king setups depending on the configuration you order. Confirm the size with the store before buying.
Is $1,817 a good price?
It is the best new price among the two stores listing it as of November 7, 2026, and sits at the low end of its recent range. Waiting is unlikely to save much unless a seasonal sale appears.
How much assembly is required?
Assembly is required. The frame is heavy and the headboard is tall, so plan for two people and a couple of hours.
What is the weight capacity?
500 pounds, which covers most couples plus bedding.

4.5 inches from floor to frame, enough for low storage boxes but not most vacuum heads.
