Is the Addi Express King worth it over the smaller Express?

If you want wide flat panels or adult-size hats, the King's 46 needles are the reason to pay more. The smaller 22-needle Express is cheaper and lighter but limited to narrow tubes.

What yarn weights does it take?

Addi rates it for US 6 to US 11 (4–8 mm) yarn. Very thick or fuzzy yarns are more likely to jam the needles.

The machine, a row counter, a pattern and one maker yarn cake. You supply your own yarn and a table to clamp it to.

Can it knit flat panels as well as tubes?

Yes. It knits tubes for hats and socks, and flat pieces up to about 17.7 inches wide for blankets and cardigans.
