Our take on the Addmotor Graoopro Cargo eBike

The Addmotor Graoopro is a cargo e-bike built around a 750W rear hub motor, a Samsung 48V 20Ah battery and a 450 lb payload rating. It runs 24-inch front and 3.0-inch rear fat tires on an aluminum frame with an 80mm oil-spring fork, a Shimano 7-speed drivetrain and mechanical disc brakes, and tops out at 20 MPH. Addmotor claims up to 210 miles per charge with two batteries in the lowest assist level. Its only recorded price is $1,499 at Addmotor as of November 2, 2026, so there is no recent range to compare against yet.

Pros
  • 450 lb payload is high for the price class
  • Samsung 48V 20Ah battery with UL 2271 certification
  • 750W motor reaches the 20 MPH Class 2 limit
  • Fat tires and 80mm front suspension soften rough roads
  • 7-speed Shimano gearing helps on hills with a load
  • Rack and lights included from the factory
Cons
  • 72 lbs is heavy to lift, store or pedal unassisted
  • Mechanical disc brakes on a 450 lb-capable bike
  • 210-mile claim assumes two batteries and PAS1
  • 24-inch front wheel makes spare tires and tubes less common
  • No torque sensor listed; cadence assist feels less natural

Questions and answers

Is the 210-mile range realistic?
No, not on one battery. Addmotor's figure assumes two batteries and the lowest pedal-assist level. Expect roughly half that or less with one 48V 20Ah pack, and much less at higher assist or under heavy cargo.
Can it really carry 450 lbs?
Addmotor rates the frame and rack at 450 lbs total payload, which covers a rider plus cargo. Keep the load balanced and within the rack's own limit, and check tire pressure before heavy hauls.
Is it legal as a Class 2 e-bike?
Yes. The motor is capped at 20 MPH, which fits the Class 2 definition in most US states. Check local rules for cargo bikes and where throttle bikes can ride.
How does it compare with a mid-drive cargo bike?
A rear hub motor like this one is simpler and cheaper to maintain but works against the drivetrain on steep hills with a full load. Mid-drive cargo bikes climb better and feel more balanced, but usually cost more.
What comes in the box?
The bike ships with the rear rack and lights installed, plus the battery and charger. Add a second battery only if you need the two-battery range Addmotor advertises.
Is $1,499 a good price?
It is the only price recorded so far, at Addmotor as of November 2, 2026, so there is no history to judge against. Compare it with other 750W cargo e-bikes with a 20Ah battery before deciding.
