Is the Adesso Maui Arc Lamp worth it?

If you want a large, soft-glowing statement lamp over a seating area, yes. If you need task lighting or dimming, a different lamp will serve you better.

Does it come with bulbs?

No. It needs three E26 A19 bulbs, up to 60 W each. The listing specifies incandescent or CFL, so check LED compatibility before buying LEDs.

No. There is no dimmer and no dimmable driver listed. To change brightness you would need dimmable bulbs plus a separate dimmer switch or smart bulbs.

How much floor space does it need?

It is 82 inches tall and 45 inches deep, so plan for roughly a 45-inch arc behind or beside your seating. The 36-lb base needs clear floor space.

Is it hard to assemble?

Expect some assembly, since the poles and three shades ship unassembled. Set aside time and handle the paper shades carefully.

Arc lamps like this usually drop during Black Friday and end-of-season sales. Check the price history on this page before buying.

Our take on the Adesso Maui Arc Lamp

The Adesso Maui Arc Lamp is an 82-inch-tall floor lamp with three barrel-shaped rice-paper and cane shades hung from curved poles that arc out to 45 inches deep. It takes three E26 bulbs up to 60 W each (incandescent or CFL) and throws soft, diffused overhead light, so it works as a room-filling ambient piece rather than a reading lamp. There is no dimmer and no built-in LED, and at 36 lbs it is a substantial piece that needs floor space behind or beside a sofa. Its 4.6 out of 5 from 92 ratings puts it among the better-reviewed Adesso arc lamps.
