- Do I need a box spring with the AFI Canyon platform bed?
- No. It is a platform bed, so the mattress rests on the slats and a box spring is not required.
- Is $601.82 a good price for this bed?
- It is the only new price we track, at Walmart as of November 7, 2026, so there is no recent range to compare it to. Judge it against other solid wood queen platform beds with storage.
- What kind of storage does it have?
- The frame has built-in storage under the platform. Check the listed clearance height before counting on it for bulky items.
- What size mattress fits?
- It takes a standard queen mattress. Any queen mattress works, since the slats replace a box spring.
- Is it solid wood throughout?
- AFI lists it as solid wood. Ask the seller which parts are solid versus engineered before buying if that matters to you.
- How hard is assembly?
- Platform beds of this type usually take two people an hour or more. Solid wood parts are heavy, so build it in the room where it will stay.
- Where is the AFI Canyon White Solid Wood Platform Queen cheapest?
- At Walmart, for $601.82, as of our latest check.
