- Does this bed need a box spring?
- No. It is a platform bed, so a mattress sits directly on the wood slats.
- What mattress size fits it?
- It takes a Twin XL mattress, which is 38 inches wide and 80 inches long, 5 inches longer than a standard Twin.
- How much storage do the drawers give?
- Two drawers sit under the frame, sized for clothes, bedding or shoes. They take up part of the under-bed clearance.
- Is $383.76 a good price?
- It is the only new price tracked for this bed as of November 7, 2026, at Walmart, so there is no recent low or high to compare it with. Compare it against other solid wood Twin XL platform beds with drawers.
- Is it hard to assemble?
- Expect a few hours with two people. Wood frames with drawers have more parts than a plain platform bed.
- Where is the AFI Twin Solid Wood Platform with Footboard and 2 Storage Drawers cheapest?
- At Walmart, for $383.76, as of our latest check.
