Our take on the Aivituvin Outdoor and Indoor Cat House

The Aivituvin Outdoor and Indoor Cat House is a two-story wooden shelter built from solid fir with a waterproof asphalt roof. It measures 30 by 22.2 by 30.4 inches and gives cats about 5.2 square feet of interior space across two levels, with a water-based painted finish. It suits a porch, balcony or yard where a cat needs shade, a dry sleeping spot and a place to climb. At $43.98 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is the lowest of the 8 new prices tracked and sits well below what a fir-and-asphalt cat house usually costs.

Cons
  • Only 30.4 inches tall, so it is cramped for large cats

  • No insulation for cold winters

Questions and answers

Is it big enough for an adult cat?
Yes for most average cats, but it is tight. The house is 30 inches long and 30.4 inches tall with about 5.2 square feet inside, so a large Maine Coon or two big cats will feel cramped.
Can it stay outside in rain and snow?
The asphalt roof is waterproof and handles rain well. The fir walls are not insulated, so in freezing climates bring it under cover or add bedding and a windbreak.
How long does assembly take?
Most owners report under an hour with the included hardware and instructions. Two people make lining up the panels easier.
Does it come with a floor and door?
It has a raised floor and an open entry, so the cat can come and go. Check the listing for whether a flap or lock is included, since that varies by seller.
Is $43.98 a good price?
It is the lowest of the 8 new prices tracked as of November 4, 2026, and well under typical fir cat house pricing. At that price it is a low-risk buy if the size fits your cat.
Can it be used indoors?
Yes. The wood finish and classic look work indoors as a condo, though the open design and size suit it better as a sheltered outdoor spot.
Where is the Aivituvin Outdoor and Indoor Cat House cheapest?
At Chewy.com, for $84.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Aivituvin Outdoor and Indoor Cat House?
Rated 4.4 out of 5 from 125 ratings.
Where can I buy the Aivituvin Outdoor and Indoor Cat House?
