Is the AKASO WT50 worth it?

It is worth it if you want a tiny battery-powered projector for dark rooms and travel. If you need a bright living-room picture, a plug-in 1080p projector at a similar price will serve you better.

How bright is 50 ANSI lumens?

It is dim. Expect a watchable image in a dark room at roughly 40 to 60 inches; in daylight or with lamps on, the picture will look washed out.

Does it need a phone or laptop?

No. It runs Android with Wi-Fi, so you can install streaming apps directly. HDMI and USB inputs are there for consoles, sticks and drives.

How long does the battery last?

About 2 hours on the 5000mAh battery, roughly one movie. Keep the charger handy for longer sessions.

What resolution is the picture?

854x480, which is below 720p. It accepts higher-resolution input but downscales it, so fine text and detail look soft.

What comes in the box?

Typically the projector, a remote, a power adapter and a manual. Check the listing for the exact bundle before ordering.
