Our take on the Alex 24V Electric Drift Go Kart with Backrest

The Alex 24V Electric Drift Go Kart is a battery-powered ride-on kart with a backrest, aimed at kids who want slide-and-spin drifting rather than straight-line speed. It runs on a 24-volt system, which is a step above the common 12V and 6V ride-ons and gives it more push on grass and slopes. The only new price found is $329.99 at Wayfair as of November 3, 2026, with no other new listings to compare against, so there is no recent price range to judge it by.

Best forKids roughly 6 to 12 who want to drift and spinFamilies with a flat driveway or smooth yardParents who want a backrest for younger or smaller ridersBuyers stepping up from a 12V ride-on
Pros
  • 24V power gives more torque and speed than 12V karts
  • Backrest adds support for smaller riders
  • Drift-style rear wheels let kids slide and spin
  • Single clear new price of $329.99 at Wayfair
Cons
  • Only one store lists it new, so no price competition
  • No price history available to judge whether $329.99 is a good deal
  • Drift karts need smooth, open ground; rough lawns limit the fun
  • Battery runtime and charge time are not published
  • Replacement batteries and parts may be hard to find

Questions and answers

Is the Alex 24V Drift Go Kart worth $329.99?
At $329.99 it sits in the upper-middle of 24V ride-on pricing. With only one new listing, you cannot compare it to a competing store, so weigh the 24V motor and backrest against karts that publish speed and runtime specs.
How fast does a 24V go-kart like this go?
Most 24V kids' karts top out around 8 to 12 mph depending on rider weight and surface. Alex does not publish a top speed for this model, so treat it as faster than a 12V kart but not a performance machine.
What age and size is it for?
24V karts are generally built for kids around 6 to 12, and the backrest helps smaller riders stay planted. Check the seat-to-pedal reach and the listed weight limit before buying.
How long does the battery last per charge?
Alex does not list runtime for this kart. Comparable 24V ride-ons typically run 40 to 90 minutes, with less time when drifting and more on flat pavement.
Does it come with a charger and battery?
Ride-on karts in this class normally ship with the battery and charger included. Confirm the box contents with the seller, since the listing does not spell them out.
When is the best time to buy it?
Ride-on prices usually dip during Black Friday and in late winter before spring. With one store listing it, watch Wayfair for markdowns rather than expecting cross-store price wars.
Where is the Alex 24V Electric Drift Go Kart with Backrest cheapest?
At Wayfair, for $329.99, as of our latest check.
