Our take on the Alilang Magnetic Wireless Charger 15W Fast Charging Pad with Phone Stand Ring Grip

The Alilang Magnetic Wireless Charger is a 15W Qi pad that snaps onto MagSafe-style phones and doubles as a stand through a ring grip. It includes a 3-foot cable and has no battery, so it only charges while plugged in. It is a low-cost alternative to Apple's own MagSafe charger, but it tops out at 15W and needs a USB-C power adapter rated for that output, which is not included.

Best foriPhone 12 and later owners who want a cheap MagSafe-style padDesk or nightstand use with a standShoppers who want a spare charger for travel

Cons
  • Power adapter not included

Questions and answers

Does it charge iPhones at full speed?
It delivers up to 15W, but iPhones cap MagSafe charging at 15W only with a suitable USB-C PD adapter. Without one, charging drops to 7.5W or lower.
Is a power adapter included?
No. The box has the pad and a 3-foot cable. You need a USB-C wall adapter rated for 15W or more.
Will it work with a phone case?
It works with thin MagSafe-compatible cases. Thick or non-magnetic cases weaken the grip and can slow charging.
Can I use it as a stand while charging?
Yes. The ring grip props the phone up for watching video or calls while it charges.
Does it have a battery?
No. It only charges when connected to a power source.
