Does this set work on induction cooktops?

No. The HA1 Expert base is aluminum, so it works on gas, electric and ceramic cooktops but not induction.

Is the nonstick coating PFOA-free?

Yes. All-Clad uses a three-layer PFOA-free nonstick coating on this set.

Can the pans go in the oven?

Yes, the cookware is oven-safe to 500°F. The tempered glass lids are not meant for broiler use.

What is included in the 19 pieces?

Covered saucepans, covered skillets, a covered sauté pan, a stockpot, an 11-inch square griddle and an 11-inch square grill pan, with lids counted in the total.

Are the pans dishwasher safe?

All-Clad recommends hand washing to protect the nonstick coating, though occasional dishwasher use is possible.

How does HA1 compare to All-Clad's stainless sets?

HA1 is hard-anodized aluminum with nonstick; the stainless lines are bonded multi-ply and induction capable. HA1 costs less and is easier to clean but less durable at high heat.
