Our take on the Amazon Echo Dot (5th Gen)

The Echo Dot (5th Gen) is Amazon's small Alexa smart speaker, sold in Charcoal and built for voice control, music and smart-home commands. It adds a temperature sensor and a tap-to-snooze motion feature over the previous generation, and it connects over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. At $45 at Poshmark as of November 7, 2026, it sits above the $30 to $50 range this model has sold for since launch, so it is not the cheapest it has been.
