Is the Fire 7 worth buying?

Yes if you want a cheap tablet for reading, streaming or a child. It is not a good fit if you need smooth multitasking or long battery life.

Is 16 GB enough, or should I get 32 GB?

16 GB leaves little room after system files, so 32 GB is the safer pick. A microSD card up to 512 GB covers photos and downloads but not most apps.

Can I use Google Play apps on it?

Not out of the box. It runs Amazon's Appstore, so check that your must-have apps are there before buying.

How long does the battery last?

Amazon rates it at up to 7 hours of mixed use. Expect less with video streaming at high brightness.

When is the Fire 7 cheapest?

It drops around Prime Day, Black Friday and back-to-school sales. At $28 at eBay as of November 5, 2026, it is already near the bottom of its range.
