Is the Fire Max 11 worth it at $183.99?

Yes if you mainly stream Amazon content, read and browse. At $183.99 at RELYmedia as of November 5, 2026, it is close to its lowest recent price. If you need Google apps or heavy gaming, a different tablet is a better fit.

Does the Fire Max 11 run Google Play?

No. It runs Fire OS 8 with Amazon's Appstore. You can sideload some Android apps, but Google services are not officially supported.

Do I need the stylus and keyboard?

Neither is included. The Fire Max 11 supports the Amazon-made stylus and detachable keyboard, which add cost and are worth it only if you plan to take notes or type regularly.

How much storage can I add?

The microSD slot takes cards up to 1 TB. That matters because the base model has only 64 GB and Fire OS uses part of it.

How does it compare to the Fire HD 10?

The Max 11 has a larger, sharper screen, a metal body, a faster chip and a fingerprint sensor. The Fire HD 10 is cheaper but plastic and lower resolution.

When is the Fire Max 11 cheapest?

Fire tablets usually drop around Prime Day and Black Friday. Its launch price was $229.99, so $183.99 is already a discount worth considering.
