Our take on the Amolife Full Size Upholstered Platform Bed Frame with Adjustable Velvet Headboard

The Amolife Full Size Upholstered Platform Bed Frame is a wood-framed bed wrapped in tufted velvet, with a slatted base and an adjustable headboard. It holds up to 800 lb and measures 56.1 in wide by 78.5 in long, sized for a full mattress. The only new price found is $94.99 at Walmart as of November 6, 2026, so there is no recent range to compare it against. At that price it undercuts most upholstered platform beds, which typically run several hundred dollars.

Best forShoppers furnishing a guest or teen bedroom on a tight budgetBuyers who want a soft velvet headboard without a box springRenters who need a bed that assembles and moves easilyPeople who want a low platform look with under-bed clearance
Pros
  • Tufted velvet upholstery over a wood frame at a very low price
  • Adjustable headboard lets you set the height you want
  • Slats included, so no box spring is needed
  • 800 lb weight capacity is high for a full-size frame
  • Platform design leaves open space under the bed
Cons
  • Velvet and light upholstery show stains and need spot cleaning
  • Slat spacing and thin slats may not suit heavy mattresses long term
  • Assembly is reported as a two-person job with many bolts
  • Headboard padding is thin on budget upholstered frames

Questions and answers

Do I need a box spring with this bed?
No. The frame includes slats, so a full mattress sits directly on them. A box spring would only add height.
What mattress size fits it?
It takes a standard full (double) mattress. The frame is 56.1 in wide and 78.5 in long, so a full mattress fits with little gap.
How much weight does it hold?
Amolife rates the frame at 800 lb maximum. That covers the mattress and sleepers, which is high for a full-size platform bed.
Is the headboard really adjustable?
Yes. The upholstered headboard can be set at different heights, which helps match thicker mattresses or your preferred sitting height.
Is $94.99 a good price?
It is very low for an upholstered platform bed with a headboard; most cost several hundred dollars. The only new price found was $94.99 at Walmart as of November 6, 2026, so there is no recent range to compare against.
Does it come with storage?
The listing notes storage, but the frame itself is a standard platform with open space underneath. Check the listing details for any included storage pieces.
Where is the Amolife Full Size Upholstered Platform Bed Frame with Adjustable Velvet Headboard cheapest?
At Walmart, for $94.99, as of our latest check.
