Questions and answers

How fast does it make ice?

Antarctic Star claims a 6-minute cycle, so the first bullet ice arrives quickly. Output slows in hot rooms, and the basket holds only a limited batch.

How much ice can it hold?

Daily output is rated at 26 lbs, but the internal basket holds far less. Expect to empty it into a freezer bag or cooler during a party.

Is it quiet enough for a kitchen?

It is rated under 35 dB, which is quieter than most refrigerators. The compressor and fan still make a low hum while a batch is freezing.

Does it need a water line?

No. It is a countertop unit with a refillable reservoir, so you pour water in by hand and drain it for cleaning.

Is $69.99 a good price?

That is the only new price listed, $69.99 at Macy's as of November 8, 2026. Comparable countertop makers often sell for $100 or more, so it is a low entry price.

What kind of ice does it make?

It makes bullet-shaped ice, the soft, chewable kind common in countertop makers. It is fine for drinks but melts faster than dense freezer cubes.

Where is the Antarctic Star Countertop Ice Maker cheapest?

At Macy's, for $69.99, as of our latest check.

Where can I buy the Antarctic Star Countertop Ice Maker?

2 stores we checked sell it, including Macy's, icemaker.us.com.
