Is the Aosom 16 Inch trailer worth it?

For short errand runs on paved roads, yes. It costs far less than name-brand cargo trailers and carries a similar load. Expect basic components and some assembly effort.

How much weight can it carry?

The listing gives a capacity of 110 lb and a max load of 88 lb. Treat 88 lb as the safer working limit, and keep the load low and centered.

It attaches at the rear axle, so it fits most adult bikes with a standard axle nut or quick-release. Check your axle type before buying, since some thru-axles need an adapter.

Can I use it for a dog?

Yes, many owners use it as a pet trailer for small dogs. Add a cushion and a tether, and keep speeds low on bumpy pavement.

How big is the cargo area?

The overall dimensions are listed as 61.5 x 32.4 x 28.5 inches, which includes the frame and wheels. The cargo bed itself is smaller, so measure your load before buying.

Aosom trailers tend to dip during spring sales and end-of-season clearance. Compare current store prices before buying, since listings vary widely.

Our take on the Aosom 16 Inch

The Aosom 16 Inch is a steel bicycle cargo trailer with two 16-inch wheels, a black finish and a folding frame. It is built to haul groceries, gear or a pet behind a bike, with a listed capacity of 110 lb and a max load of 88 lb. The empty weight is listed as 26 lb, so it is not a light trailer to tow uphill. It is a budget option in the cargo-trailer class, and its price sits in the low end of what two-wheel bike trailers cost.
