Is the AOVOPRO S78 worth it?

For flat, short commutes under about 8 miles it is a cheap way in. If you need hills, long range or certified safety, spend more on a branded scooter.

How fast does it really go?

The motor is rated for about 19 mph, but that is on flat ground with a lighter rider. Expect closer to 15 mph with a heavier rider or a slight incline.

What is the real range?

The 20-mile figure assumes eco speed and a light rider. At full throttle expect roughly 10 to 13 miles, and less in cold weather.

Does it have safety certification?

The listing shows no NRTL certification. That matters for insurance, apartment building rules and peace of mind; check with the seller before buying.

Yes. The 265 lb load rating covers most adults, and the age range is 14 to 80. Heavier riders should expect slower acceleration and shorter range.

Budget scooters like this usually dip during back-to-school and Black Friday sales. Use the price history on this page to see whether the current price is near its low.
