For streaming, browsing and a few apps, yes. If you download movies, games or lots of photos, 64GB fills up quickly and there is no microSD slot.

Does it work without Wi-Fi?

Yes. The cellular model takes a nano-SIM or eSIM data plan, so you can browse and stream on mobile networks.

Does it support the Apple Pencil?

It works with the Apple Pencil (1st generation), which is sold separately. Newer USB-C Pencils are not compatible.

How is it different from the iPad Air?

The Air has a larger laminated display, USB-C and a faster chip. This iPad is cheaper and fine for basic tasks but heavier and older in design.

What comes in the box?

The iPad, a Lightning to USB cable and a power adapter. The Pencil, keyboard and SIM card are not included.

Prices tend to drop during back-to-school and Black Friday sales, and when a new iPad generation launches.

Our take on the Apple iPad 64GB Wi-Fi + Cellular

The Apple iPad 64GB Wi-Fi + Cellular is a 10.2-inch tablet with a 2160 x 1620 Retina display, a 12MP front camera, and built-in cellular data so it works away from Wi-Fi. It runs iPadOS and supports Apple Pencil (1st generation) and the Smart Keyboard. The 64GB storage is the smallest tier, so it suits streaming and light apps more than large local libraries. It is a solid pick for a first tablet or a secondary device for travel.
