Is the M4 MacBook Air worth it at $844.99?

Yes, if you want a light, silent laptop for everyday work. That price at PayMore Malvern as of November 7, 2026 is low for a current M4 Air with 16 GB RAM.

How does it compare with the M3 MacBook Air?

The M4 brings a faster chip and supports more RAM, up to 32 GB. The design, screen and 18-hour battery claim carry over, so M3 owners have little reason to upgrade.

How much RAM and storage should I get?

16 GB is enough for browsing, office work and light photo editing. Choose 512 GB or more if you keep large photo or video libraries, since the base 256 GB fills quickly.

No. It is fanless and silent, but long exports or heavy compiles will slow it down compared with a MacBook Pro.

What ports does it have?

It has USB-C ports plus a headphone jack and charges over USB-C. Plan on a hub or adapter for HDMI, SD cards or USB-A devices.

Prices dip around back-to-school season and major sales events. Check the price history on this page before buying.
