Is the Series 12 worth it over the Series 11?

If you want hypertension notifications, high-frequency HRV and the readiness score, yes. If you mainly track workouts and notifications, an older model covers most of it for less.

Does it work with Android phones?

No. The Apple Watch Series 12 requires an iPhone to set up and use.

Do I need a cellular plan?

No, but without one the cellular model works like the GPS version. A carrier plan adds a monthly fee for calls and data away from your phone.

How long does the battery last?

About a day of normal use. Heavy workouts and cellular streaming shorten that, so most owners charge it nightly.

The 46mm watch, a Small/Medium Sport Band and a magnetic charging cable. A power adapter is not included.

Apple Watch prices tend to dip around Black Friday and spring sales. The current best new price is $549 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026.
