Our take on the Aquasana Shower Filter (AQ-4100)

The Aquasana AQ-4100 is a two-stage shower filter that uses coconut shell carbon to cut chlorine from your shower water. It comes as a handheld shower head with a standard ½-inch connection and is certified to NSF/ANSI 177 for chlorine reduction and NSF/ANSI 61 for materials safety. It runs at up to 2.5 gallons per minute and the cartridge lasts about six months or 10,000 gallons. At $89.98 at The Home Depot as of November 6, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range across the five stores that list it new.
