Questions and answers

Is the Ariens Deluxe 28 worth it over a smaller single-stage blower?
For driveways and snow deeper than about 8 inches, yes. The two-stage design and 252cc engine handle wet, plowed-in snow that single-stage machines struggle with. For a short, flat walkway, a lighter blower is enough.
How does it compare with the Ariens Platinum 28?
The Platinum line adds a larger engine and a heated hand grip option on some models. The Deluxe 28 keeps the same 28-inch width and Auto-Turn steering at a lower price. Choose the Deluxe if the 252cc engine covers your snowfall.
Does it have electric start?
Yes. It has a 120V electric start, so you plug it in and press a button instead of pulling the recoil cord. You still need the recoil as a backup.
What snow depth can it handle?
The intake height is 21 inches, so it clears snow up to that depth in one pass. Deeper drifts need multiple passes or letting the auger work down through the pile.
What comes in the box?
The blower ships with the user manual. You add engine oil and gasoline before first use; the electric start cord is included.
When is the price lowest?
Snow blowers usually discount in late winter and early spring as stores clear stock. The best new price was $1,549.99 at eBay as of November 3, 2026; check the price history before buying in fall.
Where is the Ariens Deluxe (28") 252cc Two Stage Snow Blower cheapest?
