Questions and answers

Are these good for beginners?
Yes. The soft cores are forgiving and the 72-color range covers most blending needs. Serious artists may want a set with published lightfastness ratings.
Do the pencils blend well?
Yes. The soft 3.3 mm cores layer and blend smoothly, especially on textured paper. Burnish lightly to avoid waxy buildup.
What comes in the tin?
72 colored pencils in a metal tin. No sharpener or eraser is listed.
Are the cores really break resistant?
The cores are described as break resistant, but soft cores can still snap if the pencil is dropped or sharpened with too much pressure.
When is the best time to buy?
Art supply sets often drop during back-to-school and holiday sales. Check the price history chart for this set's low points.
