Questions and answers

Is the Ascension Ultra worth it?
At $769.30 at Brooklyn Bedding as of November 4, 2026, it is a lot of base for the money: 750 lb capacity, massage, USB ports and a 10-year warranty. Skip it if you mainly want a strong massage, since owners say that feature is weak.
How does it compare with the Ascension basic or other adjustable bases?
The Ultra adds massage, under-bed lighting, USB ports and programmable memory positions over simpler bases. It also has a higher 750 lb capacity than many rivals. The trade-off is weight: the queen base is about 175 lbs.
Do I need a box spring with it?
No. The Ascension Ultra is a platform-style power base and works with all mattress types, including foam and hybrid. Put the mattress straight on the frame.
How long does assembly take?
Ascension advertises tool-free assembly in about 5 minutes. Owners report 15-20 minutes with two people. The base is heavy, so have help for stairs and lifting.
Does the massage really work?
It offers 3 modes at 3 intensities for head and foot. Owners describe it as gentle vibration that helps you relax, not a deep massage.
When is the price lowest?
Adjustable bases usually drop during holiday sales and mattress-store promotions. The current best is $769.30 at Brooklyn Bedding as of November 4, 2026, with two stores selling it new.
Where is the Ascension Ultra Adjustable Power Base cheapest?
