Is the Bostwick Shoals dresser solid wood?

No. It is built from engineered wood, mainly MDF and particleboard, with a painted finish. That keeps the price down but it is not a solid-wood heirloom piece.

How big is it and will it fit my room?

It is about 63.3 inches wide, 34.1 inches tall and 16.2 inches deep. Measure your wall and doorway first; at 161 lbs it is not easy to move alone.

Does it come with a mirror?

Yes, a mirror is listed as included, along with the tipover restraint device. Check the listing for the mirror's own dimensions before you plan the wall space.

Do the drawers have soft-close glides?

No. The drawers use side roller glides, which are basic and can feel stiff. They are not soft-close.

How long does assembly take?

Assembly is required and owners commonly report it takes an hour or more with two people. Have a screwdriver and a helper ready.

When is the best price on this dresser?

Ashley pieces tend to dip during major furniture sales and holiday weekends. Check the price history on this page before buying.

Our take on the Ashley Furniture Bostwick Shoals Six Drawer Dresser

The Bostwick Shoals is a six-drawer dresser from Ashley Furniture in a light, whitewashed farmhouse finish with pewter-tone knobs. It measures about 63 inches wide, 34 inches tall and 16 inches deep, and the drawers run on side roller glides with a tipover restraint included. The frame is engineered wood (MDF and particleboard), not solid wood, so it is a budget piece built for clothing storage. It ships with a mirror and requires assembly.
