Is the Jarreau recliner worth $449?

At $449 at Castle Furniture as of November 4, 2026, you get power recline, a power headrest, zero gravity, USB and a cup holder in one chair. That is a lot of features for the money, though leather match rather than full leather is the trade-off.

Does it need to be plugged in?

Yes. The recline, headrest and USB charger run on power, so the chair needs a wall outlet within reach of its cord. It will not recline during an outage.

How does leather match differ from full leather?

The seating areas are leather and the sides and back are matching synthetic. It looks uniform and costs less, but the synthetic panels wear differently over time.

Will it fit a small room?

It is 40 inches wide and 41 inches deep, and it needs extra clearance behind to recline. Measure the wall distance before buying; Ashley markets it for small spaces, but the recline travel still needs room.

What is zero gravity on this chair?

Zero gravity tilts the seat and back so your legs sit near heart level, which reduces pressure on the lower back. It is a recline position, not a separate mechanism.

Only Castle Furniture lists a new price, $449 as of November 4, 2026, so there is no competing new price to wait for. Watch for seasonal furniture sales, since a single seller sets the price.

Our take on the Ashley Furniture Jarreau Power Recliner

The Jarreau is a contemporary power recliner from Ashley's Signature Design line, sized at 40 inches wide, 41 deep and 43 high. It combines a power recline, a power adjustable headrest, zero gravity positioning, a USB charger and a cup holder in one chair. The frame is corner-blocked and the upholstery is leather match, meaning leather on the seating surfaces and matching faux leather elsewhere. At $449 at Castle Furniture as of November 4, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare against.
