Our take on the Ashley Oatman Power Lift Recliner

The Ashley Oatman is a power lift recliner in brown faux leather with a built-in massage function. A motorized lift helps you stand, which makes it a common pick for older buyers or anyone with knee or hip trouble. The metal frame is rated to 250 lb, and the seat is 35 in wide and 42 in high. The best new price is $709 at Luna Furniture as of November 4, 2026, and 4 stores carry it new.

Questions and answers

Is the Ashley Oatman lift recliner worth it?
At $709 at Luna Furniture as of November 4, 2026, it is a low-cost way to get a power lift and massage in one chair. If you mainly need help standing, it does that job well. If you weigh near 250 lb, look at a higher-capacity model.
How much weight does it hold?
The metal frame is rated to 250 lb. That is on the low side for lift chairs, which often go to 300 lb or more.
Does it need to be plugged in?
Yes. The lift and massage run on electricity, so the chair needs to sit near a working outlet. It still reclines manually if power is out on some models, but check yours.
How wide is it?
It is 35 in wide and 42 in high. Measure your doorway and the space behind the chair, since a lift recliner needs room to recline and to tilt forward.
What is the upholstery?
It is brown faux leather over a metal frame. It wipes clean, but it can feel warm and may crack over time in dry rooms.
When is the price lowest?
Lift chairs tend to drop during holiday sales and Medicare open-enrollment season in the fall. The current $709 at Luna Furniture is the best new price across 4 stores as of November 4, 2026.
Where is the Ashley Oatman Power Lift Recliner cheapest?
At In Home Furniture, for $619.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the Ashley Oatman Power Lift Recliner?
Rated 4.7 out of 5 from 37 ratings.
Where can I buy the Ashley Oatman Power Lift Recliner?
