Is the Gel-Venture 11 worth it?

Yes for light trails, gravel paths, and everyday walking at around $65. It is not the shoe for technical or wet terrain, where you should spend more on a dedicated trail model.

How does it compare with the Gel-Venture 10?

The 11 keeps the same formula with a refreshed mesh upper and updated outsole pattern. Cushioning and fit are close, so buy whichever is cheaper unless you want the newer upper.

Does it fit true to size?

Most buyers take their usual running shoe size. The standard width runs slightly narrow, so wider feet should choose the wide option.

Is it good for hiking?

It works for easy day hikes on packed dirt and gravel. The shallow lugs and mesh upper are not suited to steep, muddy, or rocky trails.

No. The mesh upper is breathable but absorbs water, so it is a poor choice for wet weather or stream crossings.

Prices on this model swing between about $60 and $85, and the low points come during seasonal sales and clearance events. At $64.95 at Amazon as of November 3, it is already near its floor.
