Is Black Flag worth buying in 2026?

Yes if you want the best pirate sandbox in the series and don't mind 2013 graphics. At $17.99 new it is a low-risk pickup, though the multiplayer side is largely inactive.

Does this Xbox 360 copy work on Xbox Series X|S?

Yes. Black Flag is backward compatible, so the disc runs on Xbox Series X|S. You get the 360 version, not a remaster.

What is in the GameStop Edition?

It is a retailer-specific edition of the standard game. Expect the base game plus a small set of in-game bonus items rather than extra discs or DLC campaigns.

How does it compare to Assassin's Creed III?

Black Flag keeps III's combat and climbing but moves most of the action to ships and islands. Most players consider the naval focus a clear improvement.

Is there co-op or split-screen?

The campaign is single-player. Online multiplayer supports up to 8 players, and there is online co-op plus shared/split-screen local play in multiplayer modes.

Used and budget copies often drop below $10, and digital sales hit similar lows. At $17.99 new, buy now only if you want a sealed physical copy.
