Our take on the Astoria Grand 59.06" Vintage Carved TV Cabinet, Ivory and Brown

The Astoria Grand Vintage Carved TV Cabinet is a 59-inch solid wood media stand with a carved, distressed ivory-and-brown finish and a closed cabinet below. It is a statement piece for traditional, French country or farmhouse rooms, not a minimalist one. At $1,119.99 at Wayfair as of November 3, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no cheaper new option to compare against right now.

Best forTraditional and French country living roomsBuyers who want closed storage for media gearShoppers furnishing a formal or vintage-style roomPeople who prefer solid wood over particle board
Pros
  • Solid wood construction
  • Carved detailing and two-tone ivory and brown finish
  • Closed cabinet hides cables, boxes and remotes
  • 59-inch width fits most 55- to 65-inch TVs
  • Distinctive look that doubles as a focal piece
Cons
  • $1,119.99 is a premium price for a media cabinet
  • Only one new price listed, so little room to shop around
  • Ornate carving clashes with modern or minimalist decor
  • Solid wood makes it heavy and hard to move alone
  • No open shelving for media components

Questions and answers

Is the Astoria Grand carved TV cabinet worth $1,119.99?
It is worth it if you want a solid wood, carved statement piece and closed storage. If you just need a TV stand, cheaper veneer cabinets do the same job for far less.
What size TV fits on this cabinet?
At 59.06 inches wide, it comfortably holds TVs up to about 65 inches. A 75-inch TV would overhang the edges.
Is it solid wood or veneer?
The listing specifies solid wood. Expect a heavy, sturdy piece, but check the product page for the exact wood species.
Does the cabinet have open shelves for a cable box?
It has a closed cabinet rather than open shelving. Cable boxes and consoles go inside, so check ventilation and whether an IR remote will work through the doors.
What is in the box?
The cabinet ships as a flat-pack or partially assembled unit with hardware and instructions. Assembly is required; confirm the exact contents on the Wayfair listing.
When is the price lowest?
Wayfair discounts furniture most around Black Friday, Cyber Monday and major holiday sales. The current $1,119.99 is the only new price listed as of November 3, 2026.
