Questions and answers

Is the Astro Pneumatic 136E worth it?
For light fastening and disassembly, yes. At $49.08 at Autoplicity as of November 4, 2026, it is a cheap way to add a compact air impact to a shop that already has a compressor. Don't expect it to replace a full-size impact for lug nuts.
How much torque does the 136E have?
75 ft-lb maximum. That covers small bolts and assembly work but not most suspension or wheel fasteners, which usually need 200 ft-lb or more.
What size sockets does it use?
It has a 3/8-inch square drive with a ring-type retainer, so standard 3/8-inch impact sockets fit. The retainer holds the socket by friction, so you pull it off by hand.
Does it come with an air fitting or hose?
The listed included accessory is a funnel. You supply the air fitting, hose and compressor, so budget for those if you don't already own them.
When is the 136E cheapest?
Prices vary by store. The best new price was $49.08 at Autoplicity as of November 4, 2026, with 4 stores listing it new, so compare those listings before buying.
