Is the VEVOR 3/8 air impact wrench worth it?

For occasional DIY work with a decent compressor, yes. It costs $54.90 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, and covers most lug nuts and engine bolts. If you use it daily in a shop, a truck-brand gun is a better long-term buy.

What compressor do I need for it?

You need a compressor that delivers enough CFM at 90 PSI to match the gun's air consumption, which is not listed here. A small pancake compressor will run it in bursts but may struggle on sustained work. Check the tool's CFM rating against your compressor before buying.

Does it come with sockets or an air hose?

No. It is the tool only, so you need your own 3/8-inch impact sockets, air hose, fittings and compressor. Impact-rated sockets are required; chrome sockets can crack under impact load.

How does it compare with a 1/2-inch impact wrench?

A 1/2-inch gun delivers more torque and suits heavy truck and suspension work. This 3/8-inch model is lighter and fits tighter spaces, which makes it better for engine bays and smaller fasteners.

When is the price lowest?

The current $54.90 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026 is already near the bottom of its recent range. Air tool prices tend to dip during holiday sales and tool promotions, so watch for those windows.
